Keflavík (Iceland)
after Stirling Calder 1987 Relief

Description:

In the Leifur Eiríksson International Air Terminal at Keflavíkurflugvöllur (Keflavík Airport) is this a triangular granite column, with on the front side a relief of Stirling Calder's statue of Leif Eriksson in Reykjavik.
It is located thus, that it is the first thing arriving visitors will see... and of course, I saw it leaving the country when I wanted to change my Icelandic crowns (behind the monument is the change office).
